Public Policy in Focus
Venue: SGPP Indonesia Campus, Equity Tower 40th Floor, Jakarta
What makes public policy so powerful — and why does it often go unnoticed? On 12 June 2026, SGPP Indonesia sought to answer this question through a public lecture titled “Designing Indonesia: The Hidden Power of Public Policy,” held at the Equity Tower 40th Floor, Jakarta.
Leading the session, Rector Dwi Agus Yulianto introduced the foundations of public policy: what it is, how it is designed, and how it quietly shapes nearly every aspect of daily life — from education and healthcare to infrastructure and economic opportunity.
He emphasized that good policy is never accidental. It requires evidence, empathy, and the courage to make difficult trade-offs. In addressing today's societal challenges, he argued, Indonesia needs more people who understand not just what should change, but how change actually happens.
The lecture drew an enthusiastic audience of students, young professionals, and members of the public, many of whom stayed on for an extended Q&A session. It was a fitting reminder of why SGPP exists: to equip the next generation with the tools to design a better Indonesia.
